Custom domains

Stenz separates two domain jobs. A web domain serves public forms. An email domain authenticates your sender address. They use different DNS records and verification flows; completing one does not complete the other.

Public web domain

Eligible studios can attach a hostname they control to public forms. Choose a hostname dedicated to Stenz, enter it in the studio settings, then add the DNS record exactly as shown. Keep the standard Stenz link active until the custom host is verified and serving the correct form.

Avoid changing DNS repeatedly while validation is pending. DNS caches can take time to update. If a host already serves another website, use a dedicated subdomain instead of replacing records you still need.

Email sending domain

Open Email settings to configure a sending domain and sender address. Add the displayed SPF, DKIM, and other required records without deleting unrelated mail records. Verification proves domain control; it does not transfer your mailbox or inbox to Stenz.

Troubleshooting checklist

verify the exact hostname, without https:// or a path;
check for duplicate or conflicting DNS records;
wait for the DNS provider’s published propagation window;
confirm the Stenz account and plan remain eligible;
keep screenshots of record names and statuses, but redact account identifiers.
